Have you tried washing a 2-yr-old's hands lately?
I have two hands. She has two too. But one of my hands is busy carrying her. And her two hands act like four! What an equation........
Here i am, first i turn the tap on. She immediately turns it too so that the water rushes out too fast and splatters all over me. Then when i'm fiddling with the tap again, she reaches for the soap.
Wait Sneha....there goes the soap!
Then i pick up the soap, wash it, and soap her hands while she squirms and i dance and juggle at the same time.
Now is the part she likes best. She gets to put her hands in water to wash the soap off....and manages to partially block the tap with her fingers...the water splatters over me again!
SNEHA!!...Stop it mole (that's malayalam for daughter, not "you filthy animal!" like some of you might think)
Finally her hands are clean and all i have to do is turn the tap off. But wait...what's that in her hands? OH NO...it's the naphthalene ball that i put in the washbasin to keep out the roaches.
Dont tell me i have to go through all that all over again... :(
** For those of you who dont have kids, let me inform you that this pattern repeats about 5-7 times....a day!
*** For those of you who do have kids....just leave me a sympathetic comment.

Children are a loan from God. We have them for a short time, then we give them over to Him for His purpose. What a privilege.
Is it that bad??? still i am excited about my child on the way....
Kids...Kids...they are dear and a darling to all...my sisters child too does all sorts of mischief. But just imagine one day without them and you will miss all that fun. Its gods gift CHILDREN. Just to see them smile enjoy we can repeat these proses. Remember we were too like this once...ask our parents and they would say we were even worse...god has created us to be like this so keep a smile and go on....once they get matured you may not see this....
CHildren are Gods gifts to us...also a lesson to us that our parents took more pain than this to bring us up as kids... Only when we have kids do we value our wonderful parents...the pain they took in working 9 hrs or more a day and then have sleepless nights..and earn enough money to keep us going on when we are big...and also they might have got hurt when we backanswered them at times....well the chain repeats..whatever we did to our parents might come back through our kids....but whatever it is....the river always flows downwards....so keep loving our kids..dont expect them to love us the same way...one day they will marry and have kids...then they will be busy wit their kids just as you and me are today :)...but we should still continue loving them because God has given us this responsibility to mould them and take best care of them
hee hee!!! sounds fun! u seem to be having excitement, action and adventure thro the day [:D]
Hmmmnn... i wrote this blog as a humour piece...but i guess it wasnt very funny, going by the majority of comments i've got!
Though it is truly exasperating at times, let me reaffirm my undying love to my darling daughter. I even wrote another post about how she is a the silver lining in my life....i guess no one read that!!
I laughed my head off when I read your blog! And I could so completely visualise the whole process. Don't have a kid, but I see enough of my friends' ones to know how close to home this is :)
Enjoy this phase while you can.. Times will change and you will have other concerns next year ..from GYAN GURU ..hee.hee.
Sneha is very funny. My mom liked it.
she said your training in journalism is coming in handing. give my regards to all.:)
